Extend ENVI and ENVI LiDAR with IDL

If you have ENVI or ENVI LiDAR licensed and installed on your machine, you can extend and customize them with IDL.

To start ENVI:

To start ENVI from the IDL command line, type:

e = envi()

To start ENVI Classic:

From the Start menu: Select All Programs > ENVI x.x > Tools > ENVI Classic or ENVI Classic + IDL

From the IDL command line: Type envi

To start ENVI LiDAR:

From the Start menu: Select All Programs > ENVI LiDAR x.x > ENVI LiDAR + IDL
